This aircraft was being evaluated for the type's possible introduction to the Skywest fleet but SAAB's bid was unsuccessful. It was registered VH-SBA later in 1994 and on completion of the lease was purchased by REX and still flies in Australia (2012) on regional routes in the Eastern states.
